Two things, completely opposite, but in my feeling very much related, that always attracted me were astronomy and particle physics.
I have always felt the matter's division into elementary particles has got no limit. Similarly I feel there is no end to finding out the end of the universe.
Leaving these things aside, lets hope the particle physicists reach the next level with their experiments on the LHC.
I did not study much after schooling on the particle physics. This experiment encouraged me to read some articles on wiki and get my knowledge updated to some extent.
